Stanley Barbot, a long time radio personality in new york has died at his home in Queens of complications cancer on Wednesday morning september 16, his relatives said. Barbot began his career with WLIB in late 1980’s before joining the US Army.

He was an accountant and host of "Moment Creole" for more than twenty years, and has helped promote Haitian music on the new york-based Caribbean station. Stanley Barbot had a successful radio career, a music lover, and a passionate of Caribbean culture. A native of Port-au-Prince, he made an impression on the public with his unique choices of music unusual stunts, and sense of humor.

He enjoyed a reputation in his early years as the youngest host of the station, pulling on-air jokes and doing live broadcasts of the Haitian carnival and Jazz festivals throughout the Caribbean region. In June 2008, Colleagues, fans and friends of Barbot gathered in Queens to pay tribute to the former WLIB after they heard of his ailments. He was 47.
